Yes, you have up tp 10 days to close, change terms or add/remove funds starting on you maturity date and then the following 9 days
What CD terms do you offer?
We currently offer the following terms: 6-month, 9-month, 12-month, 15-month, 18-month, 24-month, 30-month, 36-month, 48-month and 60-month
Will the Annual Percentage Yield (APY) on my CD Account Change?
No, high yield certificates of deposit has a fixed interest rate for the entire term, although the Annual Percentage Yield can change if you withdrawal interest or principal during the term. Penalties do apply if you withdrawl principal prior to maturity.
What is the 10-Day CD Rate Guarantee
If you complete the process of linking and funding your CD within 10 calendar days of your CD application date and there has been a change in the offered interest rate your CD's term during that time, we will apply whichever interest rate is higher- the rate on your application date or the rate on the date we receive your deposit.
What is the minimim amount to open a certificate of deposit?
Always.bank Certificates of Deposit require a minimum deposit of $500
How do I fund a new certificate of deposit account?
You can fund your Always.bank account by:
- Complete and online transfer from an eligible Always.bank Account
- Complete a online transfer from a verified external account owned by you
- Wire Transfer
- Mail a check made payable to you with your account number on the memo line to <insert lockbox address> to: Always.bank PO Box 2127 Mobile, AL 36652
Can I make additional deposits to my CD account?
No, Always.bank Certificates of Deposit do not permit you to make additional deposits during the term of your CD. However, you are permitted to make additional deposits and withdrawals during the 10-grace period when your CD matures
Do I receive an actual certificate for my Always.bank CD?
No, Always.bank Certificates of Deposit are book entry time deposits, which means they do not come with a physcial certificate.
How can I access and manage my CD Account?
You manage your account by enrolling in online banking or by downloading either the Always.bank iPhone or GooglePlay app, or by calling <insert # and hours>
Can I see my CD maturity date online?
Yes, You can view your CD's maturity date by logging into online banking
What happens when my CD matures?
We will send you a notification 30 days before you CD matures. Once you CD matures, you will be able to make a deposit or withdrawals and idf deasired, change the term of your CD during the grace period. The garce period last for 9 days following the maturity date. Your CD will automatically renew at the same term if you do not take any action.
How do I provide instructions to renew or close my CD account?
You can either call us at 877-259-2979 or send us a secure message by logging into online banking
Are there any fees associated with a CD account?
There are no fees associayed with Always.bank Certificates of Deposit. However, there are early withdrawal penalties.
Will I pay a penalty if I close my CD before it's maturity date?
Always.bank applies the following penalties to the amount that is withdrawn prior to maturity. In some cases this could reduce your original principle balance. If the account owner passes away or is judge legally incompetent, we will waive the early withdrawal penalty.
< 12M = 90 days interest 12-months to 36-months = 120 > 36-months = 180 days interest
How is interest calculated on CD Account?
Interest is compounded daily and credited to your account monthly.
